Once Upon a Busy Time

Once upon a busy time,
in a land not far away - -
there lived a busy mom,
with too few hours in the day.

Too many diapers to change,
too few moments left alone,
too many bills left to pay,
too few licks of an ice cream cone.

Too many loads of laundry,
too few dollars left to stretch,
too many hats for her to wear,
too few breaks did she catch.

Too many meals on the run,
too few hours to exercise,
too many things left undone,
at least in mama’s eyes.

Too many needs to meet,
too few hours left to sleep,
too many deadlines to beat,
amidst the hurry of scurried feet.

Once upon a crazy time,
within a land of busy bees - -
Mom decided to win her battles,
armed with prayer,
and on her knees.
